Project Notes/Comments:
This initiative is intended to make data-driven inquiry and problem solving more effective and efficient, impacting quality, safety, and equity outcomes.
Does the work incorporate equity?
As a best practice, the views of our data tools allow for stratification of populations by demographics such as race/ethnicity, age, insurance status, and gender. This has been incorporated into the data wayfinding program as well to ensure that a lens of equity is taken when looking at a problem or opportunity through data.
Does this work address any of the UChicago Medicine quality priorities as listed on the Clinical Excellence Scorecard?
Healthcare-Associated Infections, Hospital Readmissions, Ambulatory Access to Care, Patient Experience, Mortality Reduction, Length of Stay, Diabetes Management, Hypertension Management, Cancer Screening
