HDSI Supports the Following Fellowships:

ADVANCING HEALTH OUTCOMES

Clinical Informatics Fellowship Program

Beginning in July 2017, the University of Chicago began an ACGME accredited Clinical Informatics Fellowship Program. Clinical Informatics is a two-year training program that is open to graduates of any ACGME, RCPSC or CFPC-accredited residency programs across all fields of medicine. Clinical Informatics is defined in the ACGME program requirements as:

“the subspecialty of all medical specialties that transforms health care by analyzing, designing, implementing, and evaluating information and communication systems to improve patient care, enhance access to care, advance individual and population health outcomes, and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship.”

The CI Fellowship program is excited to contribute to University of Chicago’s long tradition of leadership in clinical informatics, which includes a Master in Science in Biomedical Informatics program. Training in CI provides fellows diverse applied clinical informatics experiences across the health system enterprise and under the mentorship of world renowned scholars. Access to the blossoming innovation ecosystem at Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and MATTER provides our fellows with unique resources only found in a large city.

The next application deadline will be August 15, 2021. Please contact us via email if you have any questions about the application process: ClinicalInformaticsFellowship @uchospitals.edu
