Ryan Merkow, MD MS
Dr. Ryan Merkow is a surgical oncologist and health services researcher. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Chicago and fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He received his formal health services research training at the American College of Surgeons as a Clinical Scholar in Residence and completed a Master’s in Health Services and Outcomes Research at the Center for Healthcare Studies at Northwestern University. His research focuses on health care quality and patient safety, surgical outcomes, cancer care delivery, and health policy. He is currently Associate Director of the Implementation and Health Services Research Center and Director of Surgical Cancer Quality at the University of Chicago.
