James S. Williams, Jr. is Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at University of Chicago Medicine.  He is responsible executing the enterprise-wide diversity, inclusion and equity strategy focused on building a diverse, culturally competent, health literate organization that supports equitable patient outcomes.  James facilitates the innovative E3 Leadership Integration work to improve organizational performance in collaboration with operational excellence, quality performance improvement, strategic planning, patient experience and engagement, marketing and communications, and human resources.  He aims to partner with staff, leaders, faculty and implementation science experts to evaluate and share best practices in creating fair, inclusive equitable organizations that innovate and deliver superior results.
