Dr. Davis leads quality initiatives for the Department of Internal Medicine and is currently the interim medical director for the University of Chicago Student Health Services He is a practicing clinician educator with research interests in prevention, medication safety, and healthcare disparities. He has led disease management programs in CHF, diabetes and asthma for a managed care population of 450,000 individuals, and helps care for patients in two free clinics on Chicago’s south side. He is certified in patient safety and healthcare delivery improvement, and serves as a section editor at JAMA, focused on national guideline review.
