About
Human-Centered Design Quick Sprint Challenge
The Center for Healthcare Delivery Science & Innovation (HDSI) is offering a unique opportunity for staff, trainees and faculty to collaborate with Visiting HDSI Scholar, Kim Erwin, MDes, human-centered design (HCD) expert from the Institute of Design at Illinois Tech.
This nine-week Quick Sprint will provide you and your team HCD perspectives, collaboration and mentorship to look at a complicated care delivery process with two graduate students in design thinking to reimagine a new way of performing the work.
An Approach to Problem-Solving
What is Human-Centered Design?
Human-Centered Design (HCD) is an approach to problem-solving commonly used in design, management, and engineering frameworks that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the problem-solving process. Human involvement typically takes place in observing the problem within context, brainstorming, conceptualizing, developing, and implementing the solution.
