Christine Wilkins, PhD LCSW

Christine Wilkins, Ph.D., LCSW is the Director of Social Work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. Prior to this, she was the inaugural Advance Care Planning Program Manager at NYU Langone Health (NYULH) where she developed an extensive program to enhance advance care planning across the NYULH system as an integral component of quality patient care. She led the implementation of the New York State electronic Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (eMOLST) at NYULH, and the development of the Advance Care Planning Navigator in the electronic health record promoting coordinated care for all patients especially those with serious illness and advanced frailty. Dr. Wilkins is certified in the Respecting Choices Advance Care Planning and Shared Decision-Making Programs. She has presented extensively on advance care planning and was recently keynote speaker for the Advance Care Planning International Conference. Dr. Wilkins serves as a board member for the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care, New York State MOLST and national POLST. She is adjunct faculty at NYU, Smith College and Fordham University.
