Zhiqiu Ye, PhD, AcademyHealth Delivery System Science Fellow

About Dr. Ye: 

Dr. Zhiqiu (Qiuqiu) Ye is an incoming AcademyHealth Delivery System Science fellow within the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation at the University of Chicago Medicine. She currently works as a Prevention Effectiveness Fellow in Health Economics (class 2019) within the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Her research primarily focuses on the economic evaluation of health interventions using quasi-experimental design, quality of care for older adults, and health equity research through addressing social determinants of health factors. She received her PhD in health services research and policy analysis from the University of Rochester. Before joining the CDC, Dr. Ye worked for the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Program, evaluating care models that reduce 30-day emergency department revisits among the Medicaid population. She practiced as a registered nurse in China before coming to the U.S.
