Dr. Knoebel is a pharmacist serving as Senior Manager of Pharmacy Health Analytics and Drug Policy within UChicago Medicine’s Department of Pharmacy. His work focuses on identifying areas of unwarranted care variation, medication formulary management and optimization, and overall value improvement. He has expertise in quality improvement and pharmacy outcomes research and analytics with his research interests focused around safe and effective care delivery, with clinical interests in pain management serving as Pharmacy Director of UChicago Medicine’s Pain Stewardship Committee.
Dr. Knoebel also serves as residency program director for the PGY1 pharmacy residency program and works closely with residents and students to emphasize research and quality improvement design and analysis, health system science, and implementation science.
